EXCELLENT A MUST READ

Scarrow writes a brilliantly realistic look at Britain without oil.Following the Sutherland family trying to get back to eachother, Andy the father attempting to get back to england from iraq, his wife stuck in manchester and trying to get to there children home alone in london. The point of view of the children is partically intense as they try to survive the anarchy.

Ever wondered what would happen if civilisation was suddenly cut of from the oil? Water and food no longer readily avaliable... The result is terrifying as the human race try to survive violence, starvation and mob rule.

I personally could not put it down and thought it was a real page turner It shows you just how vunerable we really are. This book truly makes you think 'this could happen...' and 'what would i do'?

Given the current global situation at the moment this book is convincing of a world we could quite possibly see one day.If you read one book this should be it! you will be thinking about this book long after you have finished reading it
