Like Cinderella

I enjoyed this book. Its not like the movie at all but still good.

Ella was given a gift when she was born. The gift of obedience. She has to obey whatever anyone tells her.

Ella's mom died when she was young but she ordered Ella not to tell anyone about the gift because they would take advantage of her.

Ella was now brought up by her dad who's job involved him not being home a lot so she was mostly with her servant. Her dad was very rich until one day he lost all his money. So he married a rich woman. A fairy gave them the gift that they would always love each other. Ella's dad was horrified for he only married her for the money. So he spent even less time at home and was gone for months. Ella's new step mom and two step sisters were very mean. Her on step sister Hattie figured out that Ella did what ever you said but didn't know why. Hattie used it to her advantage.

Ella got to know the Prince, Char. Char went away for awhile and Ella and Char wrote letters to each other. One time Char wrote to her that he loved her. Ella loved him back but was worried because if they got married enemies could order her to tell secrets about the prince or order to kill him. So Ella wrote a letter to him saying that she left and married a rich guy and signed it by Hattie.

Char was having a ball that you wore mask to. Ella went but acted if she was someone else. Char spent most of his time with her than anyone other girl. Most girls took off their mask but Ella kept hers on so he wouldn't know it was her. Hattie was at the ball to but didn't know it was Ella under the mask either. Hattie got jelous that Char spend so much time with this girl so she unmasked her. So now Char knew it was Ella. Ella ran back home.

Char went to her house. He told Ella to marry him. It was a command. She had to obey. But she refused. She fought it. And by refusing she broke the spell. So she married Char.
