Very interesting reading... a liberal Democrat author, beginning from the premise that his fellow liberals are the ones who 'care' the most, and therefore give the most to charity, sets out to test his theory. In the process, all of the data he analyzes (and there's LOTS of data) causes him to come to the realization that in general it is conservative Republicans who are active in their religions who truly are the more generous. By a wide margin! Hopefully this will be encouragement for those who already give, and shame on those who are (generally) stingy in their philanthropy.
