I noticed several library folks on the site and wanted to create a place for us to share ideas, stories and to network. Has anyone promoted Revish at their library? Is anyone using the reviews posted here? Which libraries do you work for? What do you do for them? What do you wish you did for them? How can libraries improve in general? Etc...
Here are some of my favorite Library Nerd Books:
Any of Rachel Singer Gordon's books
Rethinking Information Work by G. Kim Dority
Double Fold: Libraries and the Assault on Paper by Nicholson Baker
Library: An Unquiet History by Matthew Battles
The Professor and the Madman by Simon Winchester (Not about libraries, but the OED)
The Book on the Bookshelf by Henry Petroski
Children's Books:
Library Lion by Michelle Knudsen and Kevin Hawkes
Wild About Books! by Judy Sierra
The Library Book: The Story of Libraries from Camels to Computers by Maureen Sawa and Bill Slavin
Comic Books:
Rex Libris published by Slave Labor Graphics
Library Movies:

I wrote a post about Revish on one of our Blogs but since it was still in private beta at the time I didn't do much promoting. We already have a reviews blog going, so I don't use these reviews over there.
I work for the Goshen Public Library in Goshen, NY. I'm the Net Admin and I do the website.
Right now I'm in my second battle of the year with DST, so I'm not in a chatty mood but I'm sure I'll have much to say on a better day.
Cheers!

There's only one library book for me - Ranganathan's Five laws of library science. I know various assorted prominent librarians have rewritten the laws, but I don't really think that's necessary. Ranganathan is my homeboy!
I work at Bolton Central Library, but I work for Wigan Libraries and Trafford Libraries as well. I'm doing some top-secret work on online community information resources, which is fun.
I'm a big Ghostbusters fan. I know someone who won a bursary for a study visit to NYPL. I suggested that she should walk around saying "no human being would stack books like this", but I don't think she's going to do it.
I may have led people to believe that I was inspired to become a librarian by Giles off Buffy the Vampire Slayer. This is true, to a certain extent, but it's not the only reason. I also have a Giles action figure, but I broke his arm off when I stood on him. He could still take the Nancy Pearl figure in a fight though!

Yo! I'm with the Kansas City Public Library system (in Missouri not Kansas) working with teens. I read a good deal of YA Fic, have an avid interest in following teen book trends, and promoting titles that will cause teens, especially the reluctant reader, to become excited about reading. Westerfeld Westerfeld RAH RAH RAH!
I created an account for fun and to see how Revish measures up next to LibraryThing and Shelfari. Oh, and for groovy teen topics check us out on our website: YA Librarian
Highfive!
