Well, those of us who live inland don't get to surf everyday, so we turn to books for entertainment. Hi, I'm Kristin, and I have always loved books. I couldn't get enough of Laura Ingalls Wilder and Louisa May Alcott when I was young. Then there were the teen years when an older friend introduced me to trashy romance novels that I had to hide from my parents (turns out Mom had her own stash). Now, I’ll read just about anything that comes with a good recommendation. After combing through all the books reviews here, I have a long list of next reads.

Those 40 hours a week when I don’t get to read for pleasure, I have a great job as a web developer. It is great to see so many geeky readers here (I’m going to be busy checking out the Web Accessibility and CSS books on Nate Klaiber’s list). I also noticed a few of you are drawn to the textile arts: cross stitch, knitted lace. I’m a quilter myself.

My husband and 3 teens all read fantasy, one of the few genres I can’t get into (I can’t relate to a Hobbit, not that I can relate to serial killers, but at least they’re human…kinda). Christopher Moore is the only author we can all agree on. Looking forward to this new adventure. Great site Dan!

Welcome to Revish, karmadillo. I have two teens - one reads mostly fantasy, the other reads whatever I recommend (strange kid).
