Groups / Revish / Feature requests / ISBN Search

bookbird says:
I'm not sure if this is available anywhere, but since the reviews are for specific editions of a title, is it possible to search by ISBN? I'm reading Last of the Mohicans and the Amazon search pulled up 410 title matches. I never did find my edition (Oxford World Classics) and ended up adding it to my list as another edition, just so I could say I was reading it. I'd say the ISBN search would narrow it right away. :^)
Thanks! B.

In a timely turn of events, looks like this was just recently added. danchamp explains it here.
Just insert the ISBN in place of the numbers:

Good luck!

Cool... and on an odd sidenote... when I type in the ISBN for the above book, I get the one I'm reading even thought the one in revish is Bantam and the one I'm reading is Oxford U.P. Wierd? or is that the way this works?

chrisko says:
Very good question... The two distinct ISBNs direct to the same Bantam edition (although the Oxford one doesn't have the cover). I'd say weird, definitely.
Bantam: 0553213296
Oxford: 019283505X
I started a bug report here.
chrisko says:
Nevermind! Problem is explained here. A service called xISBN is used to group separate editions of the same book. That explains the redirect.
So perhaps not so weird after all...
bookbird says:
Again...thanks... another mystery solved...
